Steadfast Legacy Solutions provides professional mobile notary services for trust and estate planning documents, bringing the signing experience directly to your home, office, hospital, care facility, or other agreed-upon location.

We are experienced in handling both individual estate planning documents and comprehensive trust packages while maintaining professionalism, attention to detail, and confidentiality throughout the signing process.

For added convenience, document return services, including FedEx drop-off and local document delivery, may be available upon request.

Jail & Detention Center Signings

Steadfast Legacy Solutions provides mobile notary services at detention facilities and correctional institutions. Due to facility regulations and security procedures, additional requirements apply to these appointments.

Guidelines

Appointments must be scheduled with a minimum of 24 hours' notice.
A 50% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking to secure and confirm the appointment.
The remaining balance is due upon arrival and must be paid prior to the signing appointment.
If an unforeseen circumstance occurs at the facility, such as a lockdown, restricted access, or the inmate is unavailable for reasons beyond the client's control, the balance paid upon arrival will be refunded. The initial deposit remains non-refundable.
If the inmate refuses to sign, the balance paid upon arrival will be refunded. The initial deposit remains non-refundable.
All documents requiring notarization must be fully completed prior to the notary's arrival. Documents must remain unsigned, as signatures must be witnessed by the notary when required.

Important Information

Facility policies and procedures vary and may affect appointment availability, processing times, and access to inmates. Clients are responsible for confirming that the inmate is available and eligible for visitation prior to scheduling.

When requested to notarize a document for a signer located in a hospital, nursing home, rehabilitation center, or long-term care facility, we understand that these situations can often be stressful and emotionally challenging for everyone involved. Our goal is to provide a professional, compassionate, and seamless signing experience while ensuring compliance with California notary laws.

Protocols

To complete a notarization, the signer must be alert, aware, and able to understand the nature and purpose of the document being signed.

Signers must be alert, aware, and capable of understanding the nature and purpose of the document at the time of notarization. If a signer appears unable to communicate, understand the document, or make decisions independently, the notarization may need to be postponed or declined.

If there are concerns that a signer is being pressured, influenced, or is not signing willingly, the notarization cannot proceed until those concerns have been addressed. In some situations, individuals who are not directly involved in the signing may be asked to leave the room to ensure the signer is acting of their own free will.
Whenever possible, appointments should be scheduled at times that minimize disruptions to facility staff and patient care.

Identification Requirements

The signer's identity must be verified before any notarization can be completed.

Nursing Homes & Long-Term Care Facilities

The same requirements that apply to hospital signings also apply to nursing homes and long-term care facilities.
Depending on the circumstances and facility requirements, a patient advocate, commonly referred to as an Ombudsman, may be required to be present during the signing process.

Documents intended for use outside the United States often require an Apostille or other authentication before they can be accepted internationally. Depending on the destination country, additional legalization requirements may also apply.
